Award Criteria

Architectural Excellence

The building is destinated for dwelling purposes, and contains 29 flats accessible from common, internal corridor. Flats have different areas and size, and quantity of rooms. Entrance area is located on ground floor level, and contains vestibule and entrance lobby (with post boxes, leisure zone). Vertical communication is provided by concrete staircase with elevator (which were the only parts of the building done on site by using 2D prefabricated ferro concrete elements). Besides that, on ground level also technical rooms are located andamenity rooms such as a stroller storage room, or maintenance room. Building contains four levels, without basement (below-ground level), is designed on rectangular plan and covered with flat roof. Elevation and solid are simple and elegant. The only elements that are in front of the elevations are balconies, supported on steel posts as a separated structure. Facades are finished with plaster, in white, or grey colour, with black balconies.

Technical Innovation & Sustainability

The building is energy efficient, which means that it produces more energy, that consumes. To achieve this result, the building is equiped with different contemporary solutions, like: mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, BMS system, 2 ground heatpumps, energy warehouse, PV panels, solar panels, greywater installation.

Carbon footprint for used materials was calculated during the investment and achieved result 159,31 kg CO2/year, with 31,65% recycled materials usage. Due to the thickness of the thermal insulation on the facades, roof and on the ground floor, very low U-values for those partitions were achieved.

Cost Effectiveness

94% of the building were manufactured in the factory, with 32,65% recycled materials usage. This method allowed to save money by aviding cost- consuming on-site works.
