MBI's Awards of Distinction - Modular Building Awards
MBI's premier modular building awards, its annual Awards of Distinction, are presented each year on the final evening of its World of Modular conference and tradeshow. These global, industry-leading awards are presented in a variety of categories, including several each for permanent modular construction projects and relocatable buildings. Excellence in innovation, "green" modular construction, innovative product, and marketing are also recognized. Awards are also presented for Best in Show in each major category.

2026 Award Winners
These Awards of Distinction represent the highest honors awarded in the modular building industry. MBI member companies may self-nominate, but most winners are chosen by an independent panel of industry experts. Best of Show honors are awarded based on voting done by World of Modular attendees.
In addition to recognizing modular buildings at the ceremony, the Modular Building Institute also bestows individual honors to those who have gone above and beyond in their service to the modular construction industry. Most notably, MBI recognizes long-standing leaders into its industry Hall of Fame. Awards are also given for individual outstanding achievement and excellence in modular construction-related research, as well as for best state modular program.
