Main Category: Marketing Piece Entry
Entrant: Mr. Shrinkwrap
Award Criteria
Specific Medium Used
The primary medium was a trade show booth and live exhibit combining physical product models, branded environmental design, and printed visual displays. Two scale modular units were presented side by side — one wrapped in a ShrinkCover sewn-fabric protective cover, the other in industrial shrink wrap sheeting — to highlight the difference in material performance, application method, and visual finish. The presentation featured printed graphics and informational panels that guided visitors through use-case comparisons, installation steps, and product benefits. The booth functioned as a cohesive marketing environment, complete with branded counters, coordinated furnishings, and gray faux-wood flooring, delivering a professional and educational experience that emphasized versatility, service expertise, and practical problem-solving within the modular construction industry.
Target Audience
This display was created specifically for the modular construction industry and its interconnected participants. The primary audience included manufacturers, builders, and fabricators of modular units, as well as transporters, installers, and owners responsible for maintaining product integrity from factory to final site. A secondary audience included the distribution and supply segment—companies that provide materials, equipment, and logistics solutions to modular producers and service firms. By addressing the shared challenge of protecting modular structures in transit and storage, the exhibit appealed to both technical and commercial professionals across the value chain. The dual-material presentation helped each audience group identify where ShrinkCover sewn-fabric protection or industrial shrink wrap was best suited to their specific applications, supporting informed decision-making and operational efficiency.
Message to be Communicated
The message focused on versatility, service, and expertise—demonstrating that our company delivers the right protective solution for every application in the modular construction industry. Many of the most scaled and efficient companies rely on industrial shrink wrap, and our exhibit reinforced its continued value while introducing ShrinkCover sewn-fabric protection as an additional tool for repetitive building shapes, faster installation, and accelerated project delivery. By presenting both systems side by side, we communicated that true performance comes from matching the solution to the application, not from promoting one method over another. The booth’s design and messaging highlighted our service-first approach, with trained technicians and responsive support ensuring protection is applied correctly, safely, and on time—helping modular builders, transporters, and suppliers optimize protection quality, labor efficiency, and project scalability.
Distribution
The display was distributed through our participation in the World of Modular (WOM) – the annual conference and tradeshow of the Modular Building Institute (MBI) – which attracted approximately 1,741 attendees from more than 30 countries in 2025. Offsite Builder Magazine+2Modular Building Institute+2 Through this platform, we reached a broad cross-section of the modular construction industry: manufacturers, transporters, installers, distributors, and supply-chain partners. Our booth offered hands-on engagement and printed visual materials to an audience actively seeking new solutions. By situating our dual-solution exhibit in a high-traffic tradeshow environment, we ensured direct exposure to decision-makers who influence procurement and protection strategies for modular units. The live distribution channel of the tradeshow complemented our digital communications and follow-up workflows, enabling us to convert interest into actionable leads and partner conversations.
Entry Objective
Our objective in submitting this entry is to showcase how a simple yet effective trade show display can meaningfully advance understanding and standards within the modular construction industry. By presenting two proven protection systems side by side—ShrinkCover sewn-fabric covers and industrial shrink wrap—we aimed to highlight the importance of fit-for-purpose solutions in ensuring the quality and timely delivery of modular units. This exhibit reflects our company’s commitment to innovation through education, helping industry members visualize practical options rather than theoretical claims. We believe that recognizing this project underscores how creative, informed marketing can bridge technical expertise and real-world application—demonstrating that leadership in the modular space comes not only from what you sell, but from how you help others succeed.
Effect on Sales, Visits, or Inquiries
The exhibit drew steady engagement throughout the event, with an estimated 75–90 visitors stopping by our booth for demonstrations and discussion. We captured 39 qualified leads, primarily from modular builders, distributors, and logistics partners exploring protection solutions. While no direct sales have been recorded to date, several post-show conversations remain active and have strengthened future collaboration prospects. The booth also provided a platform to reconnect with existing customers, allowing us to introduce them to the ShrinkCover sewn-fabric system and its complementary role alongside traditional shrink wrap. These interactions elevated our visibility within the modular community and reinforced our position as a trusted, knowledgeable resource for transportation and storage protection. Overall, the exhibit enhanced brand recognition and opened new lines of communication across key segments of the industry.
