MBI Sets Attendance Record at 2026 World of Modular, Names 2026 Awards of Distinction Winners
The Modular Building Institute’s 2026 World of Modular conference and tradeshow concluded April 23 at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas after a record-setting week of education, networking, and global industry engagement.
More than 1,800 attendees took part in the four-day event, including nearly 85 students from local trade schools and dozens more from universities across North America. Eight students attended through scholarships provided through the MBI Educational Foundation.
“I had an amazing time in Las Vegas attending World of Modular as a scholarship recipient,” said Skylar Miller, senior construction management student at Appalachian State University. “From Monday to Thursday, I got the pleasure to network with great people and learn more about the future of the modular construction industry. Thank you to Modular Building Institute and the donors for making this possible!”
World of Modular featured expanded exhibit hall hours, dozens of expert speakers from North America, Europe, and Asia, international business development opportunities, and programming for students, young professionals, and emerging industry leaders. Keynote speakers included Anirban Basu, CEO & Founder of Sage Policy Group, LLC; and esteemed AI advisor, futurist, inventor and best-selling author Jonathan Brill.
“It was a record year for World of Modular,” said Tom Hardiman, CAE, executive director of MBI. “There were so many great sessions, speakers, and topics; perhaps the best speaker lineup we’ve ever had. But what struck me most was the undeniable global feel of the show. It was humbling to me to see peers from Korea, South Africa, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia, Argentina, Chile, and many other places, each day. I can't wait to do it again!”
MBI also recognized the industry’s best projects and companies during its 2026 Awards of Distinction banquet on Thursday, April 23.
