The surgical and consultation building spans two floors, each 345 m², composed of two modular structures connected by corridors. With 92% modular and 8% metallic construction, it meets the Ministry of Health’s height requirements. The first floor features two medium-complexity operating rooms, a recovery area for four patients, a family waiting room, and spaces for storage, biopsy management, and waste disposal. The second floor houses independent consultation rooms accessible via stairs or an elevator.

Tecno Fast integrated climate control, medical gases, and electrical systems, using BIM to eliminate interferences and ensure efficient on-site assembly. A 40 cm gap between floors facilitated duct and cable installation, preserving clean interior finishes. Manufactured at Tecno Fast’s Colina plant, the project showcases modular construction’s adaptability and efficiency, offering sustainable, innovative healthcare solutions.

Technical Innovation & Sustainability

Tecno Fast took on the challenge of building medium-complexity surgical rooms for San Borja Hospital within a fixed budget and tight timeline, overcoming regulatory and spatial constraints. The design featured 3-meter-high interiors to house climate control ducts, ensuring a clear 2.4-meter height, along with air injection, extraction, humidity and temperature control, medical gases, and lead-lined finishes, meeting all regulatory standards.

An elevator with fire-resistant panels was installed to ensure universal accessibility, connecting surgical rooms and consultation areas. Successfully delivered, the project highlights Tecno Fast’s leadership in modular healthcare solutions, extending its expertise from consultation rooms and emergency facilities to surgical spaces. This milestone paves the way for efficient, adaptable solutions across Chile, reinforcing Tecno Fast’s reputation in innovative modular construction
