Architectural Excellence

Located on a long stretch of white sand beach on Stocking Island (The Exumas, Bahamas), Coconut Club is a 100% solar-powered, full-service beach club offering locally-inspired food and drink, beach activities, and swimming in Exuma’s bluer-than-blue waters. Only accessible by boat or seaplane, Coconut Club is a secluded, rarefied Bahamian oasis brought to fruition with modular construction.

ROXBOX collaborated with the Coconut Club team to design, build, deliver, and install this fully off-grid resort. The site includes seven custom-built steel frame modular buildings: a world-class bar, turn-key kitchen, ordering kiosk, conditioned retail store, dry-storage container, and ADA-compliant men’s and women’s conditioned restrooms. The entire site is powered by a ROXBOX-built HELIOS Solarator™ Fold-Out 60+ kW renewable generator, and a 20′ HELIOS Solarator™ Walk-In Cooler (solar-powered industrial refrigerator) provides cold storage for the club, resulting in a fully off-grid development.

Technical Innovation & Sustainability

Coconut Club was built on Stocking Island, a remote island with no utilities or amenities and no established docks, ports, infrastructure, or roads.

The lack of infrastructure resulted in a complex delivery from our factory in Houston to the project site in the Bahamas. Flatbed trucks, ships, barges, floating docks, and a track crane were used to successfully deliver & install the modules.

All of the custom-built steel frame structures are hurricane-rated, designed to withstand the intense weather conditions that are common on the island.

ROXBOX collaborated with P&P Co. on the design of this world-class beach club. Utilizing locally inspired materials and branding, the club seamlessly fits into the Bahamian environment. The entire site is powered by one of our HELIOS Solaratorâ„¢ renewable generators, creating a fully off-grid development. A robust battery storage system and two redundant diesel generator backups ensure an uninterrupted power supply to the beach club 24/7.

Cost Effectiveness

ROXBOX oversaw every aspect of the development process (design, A&E, permitting, factory build, delivery, and install/site coordination), offering Coconut Club a fully integrated modular manufacturing partner.
