Architectural Excellence

The modular buildings are built in a three-story linear layout, with a floor area of 1,967 m2 per building. The project includes seven buildings, resulting in a final total effective floor area of 12,939 m2. The modules have an area of 34.5 m2 each, measuring 10 m x 3.45 m, and offer two bedrooms of 8.9 m2 each, with independent bathrooms and optimal space to accommodate two per room. Each room has private access via the main corridor, natural lighting, and ventilation with windows in each bedroom. The design of the rooms aims to provide comfort and privacy to the workers, offering personal spaces previously planned to make the most of the effective surface area. The modules are designed to provide accommodation and shelter from the adverse desert climate. Simple colors blend harmoniously with the hues of the desert and the industrial environment.

Technical Innovation & Sustainability

PROMET is known for innovation in the modular construction of workforce camps, designed to provide a high level of comfort to workers in industrial areas. Our work in remote areas drives us to continuously refine and optimize our prefabrication processes in order to speed up on-site construction. This begins with integrated structure modeling using BIM from the start, before going to the modular plant. Here we get process optimization and energy-efficient construction, reducing waste and carbon footprint. This combination of tech innovation and sustainability in modular construction not only optimizes our processes, but also supports the development of more efficient, resilient, and environmentally friendly built environments. Our modules are designed to fit the future needs of our customers. Thus our modules are adaptable in size and configuration, able to be moved to any location and fully comply with the specific requirements of each geographical area.

Cost Effectiveness

While modules are repetitive by nature, our challenge lies in providing quality product in timeframes that surpass the capabilities of traditional construction. Additional versatility is shown in the ability to erect structures in hard-to-reach areas, a significant benefit to the user. Modular compatibility facilitates growth and adaptability in future construction. Efficiency begins at our modular plant, where our extensive experience in similar projects allows us to identify improvements needed to increase performance, regardless of the characteristics and challenges inherent to construction in Chile’s northern desert. As such, we work to integrate prefabrication of all technical specialties, reducing to a minimum the interior work that must be carried out in the field. These improvements allow us to offer buildings with a remarkable speed of construction and more control over construction risk, translating directly to better cost management passed on to the client.
