Bill Haliburton is Vice President Manufacturing with ATCO Structures & Logistics based in Calgary, Alberta. He began his career in the commercial modular industry with ATCO on the production floor in 1978. While he never envisioned relocating from his home in Edmonton (Alberta) Bill’s career has included moves to Calgary, Seattle, Santiago (Chile), Lufkin (Texas), and back to Calgary where he and his wife of 28 years (Flo) have lived in for the past 12 years.
Memorable accomplishments during his career include the start-up of ATCO’s South American joint venture from 1996 – 2000, and the start-up of ATCO’s U.S. modular operations. ATCO’s international projects have taken Bill to numerous regions around the world including India, Somalia, Algeria, United Arab Emirates, Peru, Bolivia, Venezuela, Honduras, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and Kenya.
For several years Bill was involved in the sport of amateur wresting as both a competitor and referee. He achieved Olympic level certification which enabled him to referee at numerous world and continental championships around the globe.
Bill has served on industry association boards, including the Modular Building Institute, throughout his career. He attributes his personal and professional achievements to: his patient wife Flo, who has supported Bill through many moves and assignments; guidance from tremendous mentors, and; the friendship and support of many industry colleagues over the years.
